Welcome to Lean Menu. By using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Lean Menu, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lean Menu.

2. Service Description

Lean Menu is an AI-powered mobile application that scans restaurant menus and provides estimated nutritional information and health scores. The app uses artificial intelligence to analyze menu items and generate estimates based on typical ingredient compositions and portion sizes.

3. Medical Disclaimer

THE NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION AND HEALTH SCORES PROVIDED BY LEAN MENU ARE ESTIMATES ONLY AND ARE NOT INTENDED AS MEDICAL, DIETARY, OR NUTRITIONAL ADVICE. By using this app, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• AI Limitations: Lean Menu uses artificial intelligence to generate nutritional estimates. AI technology may not accurately identify all ingredients, portion sizes, cooking methods, or allergens present in menu items. These estimates should be used for general informational purposes only and may not reflect the actual nutritional content of the food you consume.
• Allergen Warnings: When the app displays allergen warnings, it uses "may contain" language because we cannot guarantee complete accuracy in allergen detection. The AI may miss ingredients or cross-contamination risks. If you have food allergies or sensitivities, you MUST verify ingredient information directly with restaurant staff before consuming any food. Never rely solely on this app for allergen information.
• Not Allergen-Free Guarantee: This app never guarantees that any food item is "safe" or "allergen-free." All allergen information is provided as a cautionary estimate only. Individuals with severe allergies should exercise extreme caution and always confirm with the food establishment.
• Not Medical Advice: Lean Menu is not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or nutritional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The health scores and recommendations are algorithmic estimates designed for general wellness guidance, not medical decision-making. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional, registered dietitian, or nutritionist before making dietary changes or if you have specific health concerns, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions.
• No Liability: The developers and operators of Lean Menu shall not be held liable for any adverse health outcomes, allergic reactions, dietary complications, or other harm resulting from reliance on the nutritional information or health scores provided by this app. Use of this app is entirely at your own risk.

4. Subscription Terms

Lean Menu offers premium subscriptions with auto-renewal:

• Subscription Plans: Available as monthly ($4.99/month) or yearly ($49.99/year) subscriptions.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Payment: Subscriptions are processed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at purchase confirmation.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: Refund policies are determined by Apple and Google. Please refer to their respective refund policies.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Lean Menu only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Use the app to violate any laws or regulations
• Attempt to access or interfere with the app's backend systems or APIs
• Use automated systems to access the app in a manner that exceeds reasonable human usage
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app or its content

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Lean Menu is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
• We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any nutritional information, health scores, or recommendations provided by the app.
• In no event shall Lean Menu, its developers, operators, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
